The Captain
My name is Captain Ben Pope. I am born and raised in Islamorada in the beautiful Florida Keys. I want to personally welcome you aboard our boat, Coastal Dreams. To tell you a little about my experience I'll start with telling you that I was fishing before I could walk. The waters surrounding Islamorada are my backyard. I started working as a full time mate on the local charter boats at the age of 14. I got my captains license two days after I turned 18. Since then I have been fishing and running private and charter boats all over the world for big money Marlin tournaments. Some of the places I have fished are the entire East Coast of the US, Cuba, Australia, Bermuda, the Canary Islands, Portugal, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and many more places. The knowledge I have collected through fishing all these places is unprecedented. Wether your dream is to catch a 500 lb Blue Marlin on stand up or you just wish to go out and load the freezer I can make that happen for you. I will strive to make your fishing dreams become reality. I take the utmost pride in what I do and strive to make memories that will last for generations.
